She's History

by K.R. Morrison

He is not needed       He will feel He isn’t        He will feel       beware
of too many woman words and your backbone verbs           be quiet
that’s too much         watch your questions          too many questions
stir the wrong pots        do less       that way He knows He is needed
that way He knows you know you need Him                    that way He
knows       you know       there’s always more        create         for Him
decorate for Him                   procreate for Him                     make Him
think life was His idea               soothe His stress               rekindle His
Carpe Diem       stop stressing             you’re thinking too much don’t
cause His distress                this is too much                 stay mysterious
undress                     shed just enough                   to keep His interest
      try harder                                                                                not too hard
                                           give        to        Him
your guardian arms            your fresh squeezed wounds             your
stir fried stomach     your virgin sheets      your stained bed        your
secret nest             your slowcooker            your sore feet            your
holy womb                  your open legs                     mind His soul food
but say              no, thank you              to that apple            don’t forget
look good when you say no              arouse him              it’s your fault
if He eats that apple          scrub     mop     polish             disinfect His
Godness               in his Kingdom hang drapes           frame paintings
host                   in His ribcage that makes you                     satisfy Him
sex Him                   spark His urges         high heels make pretty legs
keep Him guessing                   don’t confuse Him                         don’t
keep Him waiting       don’t ask too many questions       there you go
again                gettin’ loud              when you speak        your feelings
you’re being too aggressive           watch it girl           your aggression
a bleeding woman’s words are his deflection              don’t be boring
talk more                    wait you’re talking too much                       serve
serve His desires with side dishes serve His desire before He knows
what He desires       serve Himself to Him        stop thinking so much
you talk too much    you are not enough      enough with your mouth
give him a break      think about how He feels    you wanna keep him
you best stop          with all that feeling        don’t plant words into His
mouth               when you share your thoughts      that’s you         lady
earthquake         planting words in His mouth                          give Him
space               wait              wait for when He’s ready           He’ll come
around         He will come on His manwatch       learn to tell Mantime
His time          Man scientists just call it Time              learn His History
make pretty house nests              for His conquests                 plan His
ancestor parties            hang up the dead deer             wipe clean His
conflicts        don’t be so complex       learn to be quiet        shove His
thick sour soap in your mouth                         build a nest for His story
History                           her story bleeds                                   of History
